Day 1 - Welcome to La Paz

On arrival, you’ll be escorted to the luxurious Hotel Casa Grande.

Day 2 - To the shores of Titicaca

Travel to Huatajata and check in to the Inca Utama Hotel set on the shores of Lake Titicaca. With your guide and fellow travelers, take the hydrofoil to Isla del Sol, where you’ll ascend the Inca Staircase to reach the Sacred Fountain. On Isla de la Luna, one of the largest island on the lake, you’ll tour an Inca temple dedicated to the Virgins of the Sun. Meals B+L+D.

Day 3 - From Huatajata to La Paz

After breakfast, enjoy the beautiful blue waters of Lake Titicaca before visiting the Andean Roots Eco Village. Explore the Altiplano Museum, the vibrant Handicrafts Village, the fascinating Mud Igloos, and the mortuary towers of the Urus Chipayas. Meet the Limachi family, renowned builders of the RA II and Tigris, the iconic vessels used for epic expeditions across the Atlantic Ocean. Delight in the company of our elegant vicuñas, llamas, alpacas, and the legendary Suri. After lunch, discover the ethereal landscapes of the Valley of the Moon. Meals B+L.

Day 4 - Uyuni Salt Flats

Fly to Uyuni and see the abandoned, early 20th-century locomotives at the Train Graveyard. In Colchani, at the edge of the vast Uyuni Salt Flats, you’ll learn about ancient methods that are still used to harvest the region’s salt deposits. Have lunch at Isla Incahuasi and see the see ancient stone dwellings of Tahua that sit in the shadow of the mighty Tunupa Volcano. Enjoy two nights at our unique hotel made entirely of salt. Day 5 - Remarkable Tomave Lagoons

Travel into the mountain landscapes of the Cordillera de los Frailes to visit the charming Colonial town of Tomave. Then explore the surrounding wetlands where llamas, alpacas and vicuñas graze along remarkable lagoons that vary in hue from green and blue to red. Enjoy a picnic surrounded by this mesmerizing scenery before returning to your hotel-of-salt. Meals B+L+D

Day 6 - Onward to Potosi and Sucre

Journey across the high Bolivian Plateau to Potosi #WHS#, a 500-year-old Colonial town that was once the center of a vast silver mining operation. At the Royal Mint, see the old mule-driven machines that were used to mint the coins that were shipped to Europe through the Spanish Main. Continue to the Hotel Parador Santa Maria la Real in Sucre. Day 7 - Sucre: first capital of Bolivia

Join your expert guide and discover the intact Colonial architecture of Sucre #WHS#, founded by the Spanish in 1538. At the Museo de Arte Indigena, you’ll find a rare collection of Andean textiles – both ancient and modern. Then ascend to La Recoleta, a 400-year-old Franciscan monastery filled with art from the Colonial and Republican eras. Meals B

Day 8 - Return to La Paz: Sightseeing + Museums

Fly back to the capital and tour the Colonial district. Stroll in the Indian market where city residents come to do their shopping. In the unusual Witches Market, you’ll learn about ancient practices that still endure. Tour the Gold Museum with its vast collection of ancient precious-metal objects, jewelry and ceramics. Then admire the vibrant works of Roberto Mamani Mamani, the famed Bolivian painter, and ride the cable car for terrific views over the city. Enjoy a farewell dinner at Gustu – one of the finest restaurants in South America. Spend a final night at the deluxe Hotel Casa Grande. Meals B+D
