Day 1 - Campo Grande to Casa Caiman Lodge
On arrival in Campo Grande, gateway to the Southern Pantanal, our included safari transfer flight will take you winging above the vast wilderness of the Brazilian interior to our exceptional family-owned and operated lodge. On arrival, settle in to your comfortable air-conditioned guestroom which includes a delightful balcony, from where you can hear the birds singing. Take the rest of this day to relax, visit the Pantanal Culture Museum or explore the pristine grounds of our lodge. Meals D
Day 2 - Exploration of the Pantanal
The Amazon may be better known but the Pantanal is, in many ways, a better place to encounter South America’s diverse wildlife. The dense jungle growth of the Amazon is fascinating but it can make wildlife observation more difficult. In contrast, the open wetlands of the Pantanal are ideal for birdwatching and observing a variety of animals in their natural habitat. In fact, the Pantanal has the largest concentration of flora and fauna in the Americas and is home to fascinating species like Brazilian otters, alligators, blue macaws, parrots, toucans and Capybaras. To immerse you in the wonders of the Pantanal, a variety of included excursions are offered here at Casa Caiman. Joining other guests and an expert naturalist, here are some of the adventures you can enjoy today, according to the lodge schedule: Photographic Safari: Embark on an adventure in open 4x4 vehicles as we explore diverse landscapes in search of wildlife. Get ready for unexpected surprises and unforgettable moments at every turn! Canoe tour: Paddle at a relaxed pace through our bay, taking in the vibrant colors of the sunset and the breathtaking scenery that will leave you with unforgettable memories. Meals B+L+D
Day 3 - Deep in the Southern Pantanal
With other Lodge guests and an engaging naturalist guide, enjoy another full-day of guided excursions designed to immerse you in the wild beauty of the Pantanal. Here are some other axperiences you can enjoy today, according to the lodge schedule: Hiking Trails: An exclusive opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich flora and discover the fascinating ecosystem of the Pantanal. Night Safari: Immerse yourself in the tranquil silence of the forest as you uncover the nighttime behaviors of animals like the ocelot, giant anteater, and jaguar. Meals B+L+D.
Day 4 - Another Day in the Pantanal
Thrill to another day of exploration! In addition to the naturalist-guided included excursions mentioned above, our Lodge also offers additional experiences such as a 3-hour horseback ride through diverse landscapes and birdwatching with an expert guide, showcasing the rich biodiversity at Caiman, where around 350 bird species have already been recorded. Day 5 - Back to Campo Grande for Departure
After breakfast, we include your safari transfer flight back to Campo Grande where you can connect to your onward flight. Meals B
